Is it Alive? Experiment II
An Outline you could use for writing a report.
You could copy and paste it into your word processor to use as a template for
your report. Introduction
This should give the background information about the subject of the report.
Tell the reader how you became interested in this topic, and what you were trying to find out.
State your hypothesis formally. eg Plants need sunlight to grow.
Materials & methods
In this section you describe which factors (variables) you measured, and how ie which equipment and methods you used.
You may refer to any articles that describe the method, using footnotes or endnotes.
Results.
Put your experimental data here. eg graphs, tables, maps, photographs etc.
Discussion.
Here is were you write about any difficulties you had carrying out the experiment.
Here is where you write about any errors that might have occurred.
Here is where you write your interpretation of your results ie what you think they mean.
Conclusion
A summary of your conclusions about the hypothesis you made. You have to decide if your results support it or not,
or if your results are inconclusive. You may even like to suggest a new hypothesis to test.
